The Poet's Lounge

Poem:

She lingered about a little

& as I watched her spirit
Glide & dance around her
Sunflowers crashed her shoulders
Subtle-breaths covered
By consciousness hid away

The grand joy that her sight had spelled

a soft parade of prayers
half danced & walked away
through the sun drenched seconds
of that day

She half stranger, half friend. . .
didn't want to let it slant that way

"Smile my way"
