My Spirit

My spirit roams the skies
and the heavens
High above you
I am the brightest star you can see
Looking down upon you

When you are sad
And feel the hurt inside of you
When the tears fell from your eyes
My spirit flows with the rain
And washes away your tears
And your pain

My spirit is a part of the wind
That gently touches your face
To let you know
I am close and not far away
Watching as you go by

My spirit is a part of the land
Through fields and mountain planes
The forest and the rivers
All the beauty you can see
My spirit is a part of these

I may not be there when you fell down
To help you back up from the ground
When pain and sorrow takes to heart
And begin to feel you are alone
That is when you will feel my spirit close to you

For that is the true friendship
That will never part
The friendships we will build
May least only a week, a month or many years
To come

There was a reason why it has happened
And when the day comes for it to closed
My spirit will always remain with you
And walk close by your side.
