About Me
I live in Scotland in a big old house I share with my husband. The garden is lovely with trees and plants and is always an inspiration in itself. I love animals.
I have poems in Deborah's excellent anthologies "Expressions" and "Love and Romance". My first collection of poetry published in October will be followed by a second collection in the very near future.

Frozen Water

Frozen Water
On the bridge in Stockholm
I watched the trains slip by
I saw the frozen water
I sensed the snowy sky-
Surrounded by my loneliness
I stared out at the view
And by the frozen water
I pledged myself to you.

©Irene Jardalla

It was so cold that the water in the harbour under the bridge was frozen on Sunday. Later the snow arrived just as I thought it would! Simple little poem about my thoughts while on holiday and walking there in the city alone.

The Pinnacle

Walking in the ruins

I saw you waiting

Standing still against the faraway wall

Like some beautiful statue -

The moon was low

And clouds danced in the sky

As the light from the day

Slowly faded -

This night was the pinnacle

The high point

Of what was between me and you

As my finger traced the features

On your beautiful face

I realised you had no reservations

No need to look over your shoulder

You were in this as deeply as I.

I do not know why I do this but I hope I find time to talk to everyone, I like to meet people just wish there was more time to do it. But it is nice to look around and meet new people and make great friend just like you.
