Laura McKenzie’s Bio

Laura began writing poetry at the age of nineteen as a teenage outlet. She has found great inspiration from her family and nature. She has been influenced by 17th and 18th century poetry. Laura’s poetry has vivid imagery; she has the ability to take you with her while telling a story. She uses a unique style through her work expressing herself in metaphors and freestyle. She brings you to places you may have forgotten in your busy everyday life. Laura engages in a strong connection to nature in her work. Laura hopes to reach people of all ages with her down to earth reality of life, love and self-expression. In a world filled with change and uncertainty, Laura promises to relax you and bring harmony while reading her poetry.

Laura has also been awarded with over 15 awards plus during her time of writing .She is also involved in many on line poetry groups. Many of her poems are on the famous “Poetry-Soup” site where she engages in regular on line poetry contests. She has recently become a member of the Cambridge Who’s Who and is listed on there website. Laura is also a member of the “International society of Poets.” She is also a member of Shadow poetry.com on line.
